Blog Candy Competition

I love a good competition! So for the month of April i am having a competition for all of my customers and blog readers. All you have to do is make a card or a scrapbook page using Stampin' Up! products and submit it to me by the end of April. I will then choose a winner and post it on my blog. It's as simple as that!!! And what is the prize?

A Stampin' Up! 1 3/8 inch square punch!!! Pretty good huh!

The rules are:
1. You must be a subscriber of my blog to participate. If your'e not it's simple to join just click on the subscribe button on the left of the screen.
2. You must use Stampin' Up! products
3. All entries must be submitted by midnight on the 30th April 2009.

And for those of you who like to come on here and see what i have been making, here is a card i made recently. I saw a card made by one of my uplines Joanna using Garden Whimsy a favourite set of mine. I really liked the girliness of the card and so i decided to use this as inspiration to make one. Here is my version. I was thrilled with the way it turned out - especially since i made it for the arrival of a very special and strong little girl into the world! I used two of the new in colours Pink Piroutte and Baja Breeze with Regal Rose and Whisper White.

Echoes of Kindness

Echoes of Kindness is a Level 2 Hostess set available in the New Ideas Book and Catalogue. It is a really lovely set. This time i have used Staz On Black ink and i have bleached the flowers using an aqua painter and household bleach.
I have used two of the new In Colours Pacific Point and Baja Breeze and then mixed in some Pretty In Pink and Regal Rose.
The sentiment is from the new set Fresh Cuts. It is a little different this card. What do you think?

Fresh Cuts and Fresh Cut Notes from the New Catalogue!

Now i am really excited! I have recieved my new catalogue and there are lots of nice things in there to play with. My personal list of things to order on April 1st is very long!!!!
One of the brand new sets in the catalogue is a set called Fresh Cuts! It is a really pretty set and i have used it to make invitations to my launch on the 17th April.
In the picture above i have used it with another new product called Fresh Cut Notes. These are sets of whisper white notes and envelopes. The flower is pre cut out of the not and i have used some of the new in colour card stock and ink along with the Fresh Cuts stamp set to alter the look.
I was inspired by this post on splitcoast and i just love the way it came out. The pacific blue / baja breeze combination is my favourite.

New Catalogue Sneak Peak!

One of the great things about being a demonstrator is that we sometimes get pre-orders of selected items from the new catalouges. And gee was i excited when i got my pre-order!
This card is made from the Echoes of Kindness stamp set. It is a new hostess set in the 2009 Ideas Book and Catalogue (released April1st). I have used two of the new In Colours - Kiwi Kiss and Red Riding Hood and i have watercoloured the flower image using Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter. I have stamped the flower on watercolour paper with Black Staz On Ink. I have also used one of the new flower brads! Isn't it pretty?

Easter Egg Boxes

Here are some great boxes i have made using designer series paper and filled them up with easter eggs. The design for the box was created by Makeesha Byl and i have just made a slight alteration to make the length smaller and add card stock.
I have used the East Coast Prep and Old Olive Designer Series Paper (which is super cheap in the Retirement List Sale), grosgrain ribbon, small tag punch and the greeting from the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set.
They actually are quite quick to make and i'm really happy that i have a few easter gifts made for my family!

Easter Tins

I have been saving up the tins from spaghetti, baked beans and baby food (i think my daughter has eaten more tinned food of late than she has in her life, just because i wanted the tins!!!). This is because this week at my stamp club we will be making some easter tins. They are super easy to make, with some Designer Series Paper and Ribbon and are adhered using my favourite Tombow glue. I think my Stamp Club will be surprised at how easily the Cropodile punches through the tin and then sets the eyelets. It will be fun.

Easter is Coming!

A while back i told you i would have some easter ideas for you. Well this week i will be showing you some ideas of how you can combine your love of papercraft with easter cards and gifts.

Firstly here is an easter card i have made using the Loads of Love and the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set. Do you know that you can apply this set to so many occassions. I have made birthday invites, christmas cards, moving cards, valentines day cards and now easter cards with this set! It's probably the most versatile set in the whole catalogue.



This card was also made using scraps (i always say don't throw away anything!) of the East Coast Prep Designer Series Paper. The Designer Series Papers are on sale in the retirement list at 25% off. What a bargain!!!

Bon Voyage Wrap Up!

The Bon Voyage Party went off without a hitch last night! It was great to see everyone having a wonderful time, i don't think that any face lacked a smile! Over the next week i will be showing you some pictures of the night and the cards that were made. The above photos is one of the displays on the night (this one was Joanna Wassens'). Goodbye Fishy Friends!

I'm dissapointed Fishy Friends is going because i had only just started to play with it! It is great for watercolouring and kids cards (and also for those males that love to fish (DAD!)). This card was a really quick card to make just stamping the background with Seeing Spots. Another set i'm really sad to see the back of is the It's Your Birthday set. This set is a must for birthdays. It gives you so many greetings for both the inside and outside of the card. I think that this one will sell out quickly. Well it's the Bon Voyage party tonight and i'm really looking forward to it. I will let you know how much we raise for Cancer Council and on that note an update for on Stampin' Ups Bushfire Appeal promotion - so far we have raised $58,131.68 to go towards the Red Cross Appeal.

Goodbye Birthday Best

This is a card i made a few months ago. I CASED it from splitcoast and changed the colours. It is a quick and easy card which is what i like most about birthday best. The Retirement List is here!

Its the 1st March and the Retirement List has been announced. This is the list of all stamp sets and accessories that are going to be retired and will no longer be available after March. The good news is that many of the items on the list are 25% off (denoted by *). Notably many of the designer series papers are very cheap and the Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware as well as In Colour Ink Pads and Ribbons! There are lots of stamps too. Click HERE to see the retirement list by page number or HERE to see the list in Alphabetical Order.
Whilst it is sad to see so many good things go, it means that there will be lots of room in the new catalogue for new and exciting things to fall in love with!

Items are only valid WHILE STOCKS LAST! So make sure you get in to secure your favourite items. One thing to note is it looks like ink pads will suffer a price increase in the next catalogue (from $9.95 to $11.95) so if you are planning on ordering some ink pads, order them before April!
