Here are two christmas projects that i have made recently.
The first is a christmas card using the stars from the
Christmas Classics set which i have stamped using the
Encore Silver Ink Pad on
Night of Navy card stock. I love the look of silver on a dark background especially the detail of the stamps in the
Christmas Classics set. I have then stamped a greeting from the
Many Merry Messages stamp set on
Whisper White card stock and sponged the edges with
Not Quite Navy Ink. Did you know that greetings that are swirly looking are more forgiving when you don't get them straight! (Now that is my kind of greeting!).
I have mounted the greeting on
Not Quite Navy card stock and placed it on the
Night of Navy base. I have then punched out a small silver star from the
metallic silver card stock and placed a Blue Rhinestone brad in it from the
Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad set. The silver star from the
Christmas Classics set fits perfectly inside our
Large Star Punch too and i have punched one of these out and also added a brad. I have then popped the stars up on
dimensionals for a 3D effect. What do you think?

The second project is a bag of Christmas love notes using the
Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set. I have cut 4 x 3" x 3" love notes from
whisper white card stock and stamped the images using
Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red Ink. I have placed some
Holiday Wishes Designer Series Paper in the cellophane bag. These
cellophane bags sold by Stampin' Up! are really crisp and allow our punches to punch straight through them. I have not found other bags that will allow punches through without ripping to be honest. Using the
Word Window punch i have punched a hole in both the bag and DSP which adds a nice finish when tied with R
iding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
