Friends Never Fade Butterfly Make and Take

This is another make and take from a weekend workshop.

It uses the the colours Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and So Saffron.
I have used markers to colour in the stamp and then layered it on co ordinating card stock. I have then used a strip of razzleberry card stock embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and mounted on a strip of Old Olive punched with the gorgeous new Scallop Trim punch.

The sentiment is from the great new set Perfect Punches. Every stamp in this set has a matching punch and it is layered on one of the dies from the Lots of Tags set.

The finishing touch to the card was the Beautiful Wings embosslits made in So Saffron.
If you would like to make a card like this then why not book a workshop with me. I have vacancies in late October and November and you will get one of our brand new Idea's Book and Catalogues for FREE (plus lots of other cool stuff).

Just Believe in the New Colours!

This is a card we made as a Make and Take at the lovely Suzanne's workshop on the weekend. This particular group of ladies have really been hanging out for the new catalogue. So i made up this card with them in mind trying to show them lots of new things.
First of all the colours are all new. I have used Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobler and Daffodil Delight. I have used three new punches - Moder Label for the greeting and the Scallop Trim corner and edge punches.
I have used the Beautiful Wings embosslits which are simply divine and what would have to be my favouritie stamp set from the new catalogue Just Believe. This stamp set is simply stunning.
I have used markers to colour the image and i also used the Marina Mist marker with the Colour Spritzer to add some interest to the background.
It was a really fun workshop. Thanks ladies

Shimmery Christmas

I have a new product favourite. It's shimmer paint!!!

There is so much you can do with it and i haven't even begun to explore the possibilities yet.

Here are two christmas cards that i have made.

The first uses the Big Shot Movers and Shapers with the ornament from the Holiday Windows with the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I have simply applied shimmer paint with a sponge to the embossing. Don't you just love that ribbon too? It is the new Organza Ribbon and it has to be one of my favourites.
The inside of the card is stamped with the greeting from Contempo Christmas which you can see through the window. There is also a stamped ornament on the inside for added effect but i didn't take a photo of that sorry. The colour scheme is Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobler (which is such a rich gorgeous red).
I will be demonstrating this card at a couple of upcoming workshops as well as some other ways to use shimmer paint. Why not book a workshop and i can show you too?

The second card is a christmas tree that i made using the Scallop Circle Big Shot Die. I have used the new colour Wild Wasabi and the new In Colour Poppy Parade, it is so vibrants. I have also used a sponge to sponge on the Frost White shimmer paint for added effect.

I can't wait to get my hands on some of the other colour Shimmer Paints!

Newsprint Designer Hand bag

This is a Becky Roberts tote. I have had the tutorial for well over a year and have finally got around to using it. I thought that the Newsprint Designer Series Paper was perfect for it. Hope you like it!

Friends Never Fade Colour Challenge Card

This card was made for a colour challenge on the Inklings weekend away.
I have embossed the Very Vanilla card stock using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder which i have sponged with Riding Hood Red ink.
I have then stamped the main image in Basic Black cardstock with a secondary flower image stamped with Riding Hood Red ink. I have cut out the flower and mounted it on dimenstionals with Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the middle.
I have used the gorgeous new Scallop Trim punch on Riding Hood Red card stock on the side of the card and finished the card off with Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and a Rhinestone brad.

Friends Never Fade Big Shot card with a twist

This is a card i made for my upline Merryl for her birthday recentley. I also used it at my Big Shot class. The inspiration for this card came from a swap i recieved a while ago from a fellow demonstrator Fiona Piorier.
The card uses the Top Note die with a twist. The twist is cutting out one Top Note and twisting it 90 degrees and cutting it again to make the square Top Note shape.
The card has also been embossed using the Manhattan Flowers embossing folder.
The feature of the card is the flower from the Friends Never Fade stamp set which i have coloured in with Stampin' Write Markers and placed on some Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.

Cute Contempo Christmas Box

This is a cute little box i made at my recent Big Shot class. I got the idea from a swap i recieved at Regionals. It is a great little box to place some small choccies or even a peice of jewellery in for a chritmas present.
I have used the Contempo Christmas stamp set which i have punched out with the new Ornament Punch. I have then layered the image onto an ornament which was previously cut out with the Big Shot Holiday Windows ornament die. This die is just a little bit bigger than the ornament punch which makes it great for layering.
I have also used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the background. It is great the amount of embossing folders we have in the new catalogue. I can't wait to get a chance to use some of them.

Soccer Ball Card

How cool is this card???? At the Stampin' Up! convention in May this year Shannon West from the US Home Office demonstrated a soccer ball card which at the time i just knew i had to recreate for my nephew Lachlan. It was his birthday this week and i know he loved this card.
I made the base of the card using circle scissors and the white shapes were made using the 1 3/4" circle punch with the edges cut.
Cool hey?

Ornament Punch Rose

Isn't it pretty? This is a rose made using the brand new Ornament punch from the new catalogue. This rose has been made using So Saffron card stock and sponging with Rose Red Ink. You then curl the ornaments around a pen or pencil to different degrees to made the petals. I found that sticky strip is a MUST for sticking these petals down. They will not stick with normal adhesive.
This rose is going to be a topper on a gift i have for someone special.

This second rose is actually the first one i made and is a bit wonky... see we all learn from making things for the first time. I made this box on my weekend away. It is a Fancy Favour Box turned on its side with a smaller box inserted into it to slide out.
I have used a colour scheme taken from one of the new gorgeous Designer Series Papers in the catalogue (Elegant Soiree) Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. I have used another one of my favourite products in the catalogue the Scallop Trim Border. I have also used the Vintage Vogue stamp set? Can you see where?

New Butterfly Embosslits - Beautiful Wings

One of my favourite products (and that is a big call) in the New 2010-2011 Idea's Book and Catalogue is the Beautiful Wings Embosslits. An embosslit is a big shot die that cuts and embosses at the same time and this gorgeous one gives you five cute butterflies. I can see alot of Butterfly cards coming on.
This is a card i made for my recent Big Shot class. I have used the Inspired by Nature and Flight of a Butterfly sets couple with the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set for the greeting. Is that another new punch you see - the gorgeous Modern Label punch? Well actually no it isn't because i didn't have my hands on this punch when i made this card. I improvised and used the Scallop Oval Punch which i cut to size. The modern label punch is a little bit bigger and has a tapered shape.

The base of this card is Pink Pirouette with a Rich Razzleberry Mat. The inks used are Certainly Celery and Rich Razzleberry with the butterfly colours being Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White.

Quick Fathers Day Card

This is the card i made my dad for fathers day. It is actually really easy so if you haven't made a card yet you still have time. The colour scheme i have used is Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze and the tie is made using the new Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.
I have used the Canvas Background stamp for the shirt background and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

Bella Toile Friends Never Fade

The new catalouge goes live today!!! Yippee. If you haven't recieved your copy yet just email me and let me know.
This is a card made with some of the new items. It uses the Bella Toile background stamp and the Friends Never Fade stamp which i have coloured in with markers. This particular stamp is so effective when coloured in with markers. This card also has a greeting layered on the new Modern Label punch (oops it's not quite straight sorry)

I made a similar version of this card for my launch the other night. Which one do you like better?
