Well i promised a Christmas card without using my beloved Cherry Cobbler and here it is. This is actually the card i used at my last Stamp Club meeting to teach the bleaching technique. I stamped the snowmen from Holiday Lineup in Staz On Black Ink on Crumb Cake card stock and then used bleach in an Aquapainter to bleach the part of the image i wanted too.
I have sprayed Frost White shimmer paint dissolved in Isocol over the top note image as well as the bottom layer of the card (Baja Breeze). Did you know that you can make your own colour Shimmer mist with just a drop of re-inker, a drop of Shimmer Mist and some Isocol (rubbing alcohol) for a fraction of the cost of Glimmer Mist??? (cool huh).
The card is finished off with some of my favourite ribbon and a brad. The sentiment is from the Many Merry Messages set which is getting a real workout at this time of year.
So i mentioned stamp club and i wanted to share with you some of the great creations my ladies have been making. I give them a challenge each time we meet and the last challenge was anything Christmas.
Sue made two really great cards. I liked the Sweet Treat cup filled with Jaffas to make the 'O' in Joy, it was really cool and then Sue was on a creative streak and popped a 3D ornament through a punched hole in the front of her card. I thought that was quite innovative.

Sharlene made a table setting for Christmas. I really liked the idea of making a placemat with everyone's names on it. I thought that was really sweet. The ornaments from Delightful Decorations make a really great Christmas tree when put together.

Then Alison made a Christmas Banner. The amount of detail in this was amazing. Each Chipboard letter was mounted on a box. There were so many things in this banner - Designer Series Paper, Simply Scrappin Kit, Dazzlling Diamond Glitter, Chipboard, Ribbon, Punches. It was Accessory Heaven!
