Itty Bitty Bits Scallop Envelope Card

This is one of the cards we made at my recent Hostess Appreciation Night. I really like this card, the colours are so vibrant and not my usual style (Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo) but I was thrilled with it. I used the Medallion stamp in the background with the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set and matching punch from the new Summer Mini catalogue. Finished off with the Scallop Trim border punch and a bit of Marina Mist Ribbon

Some final Christmas Creations and Stamp Club Challenges

Well it is Christmas Eve and i really do hope that all of my lovely blog readers out there have a lovely festive season. I will be spending the day at home with all of my family so that will be great.
I have some final Christmas Creations for you today. The first one is a Blue Christmas card. It uses the Contempo Christmas stamp set layered on Marina Mist. I have then rolled the Sassy Sparkles wheel in Night of Navy on Whisper White and made it sparkle with a combination of heat and stick poweder and Dazzling Diamonds.

The second creation is one i made for a special lady i have gotten to know throught Stampin' Up! my downline Narelle.
I used the Big Shot Die to make 4 Mini Milkcartons and decorated them with the Classic Stars and So Swirly Wheels. I have then made a caddy to hold them. The greeting is from Sparkly & Bright.

Now onto my lovely stamp club ladies challenges. This time the challenge they had was flowers. I really love giving the ladies a challenge but to be honest i hate to judge. I know how much thought, time and effort goes into these projects and so i hate to choose just one as a winner. They all do get a little something but the winner gets a bigger prize. Perhaps next year i will have to con my husband into judging for me.
Anyway there were 3 great creations this time.

Nadine made this beautiful journal. There was lots of cutting and embossing and she used one of my favourite Designer Series Papers.
Sue made a gorgeous gift box and matching card. I was the lucky recipient of the card, aren't i lucky? It is one of my favourite cards this year.

Alison made this awesome little wreath using the bird punch to hang on the tree. I put my order in early for next year!!!

Dowline's Regional Swaps

In November i attended the Sydney Regionals with two of my downline Narelle and Suzy. I think their swap cards were amongst the best there and i was lucky to recieve them both.

Narelle's uses the Just Beleive stamp set with some Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper in the Background. Can you see the Shimmer? It is the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint that Narelle has made into a mist and sprayed ever so slightly. Absolutely stunning.

Suzy made this gorgeous card using the Delightful Decorations stamp set. She has also used some shimmer paint spray on the polka dot embossed background. I really liked the way that Suzy added some interest to the card stock by crimping the area that the greeting was stamped on. What a great idea.

Well done ladies

Hostess Appreciation Night

On the 10th December i held a Hostess Appreciation night at my house which any of my customers who held a Workshop in their home were invited to attend.
This is a night where i like to give back to my hostesses by spoiling them with a few little gifts, some food, special make and takes and a couple of specials that i don't offer to anyone else.
I thought i would share with you the gifts that i made for them this year.
The first was a cute little candy cane holder using the Gifted stamp set and the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper. On the inside i stamped a sentiment from the Occassional Quotes set.
The second gift was a litte box that contained some tea light candles stamped with the Christmas Classics stamp set
The third was these cute little cello bags filled with red and green m&m's and topped with a scallop circle stamped with the Sparkly and Bright and the Short and Sweet stamp sets. I forgot to take a picture of it before i gave them all out so if anyone has a piccy for me that would be great!

If you like the sounds of my hostess appreciation night and think you might like to be invited next year all you need to do is to host a workshop in your home in 2011 with me. It will be loads of fun and the upcoming Sale-a-Bration Period is as good a time as any, so email me now with your questions and dates Christies_stamps@yahoo.com.au

Delightful Embossing Make and Take

This is a card i made for my downline Colleen's first workshop. It uses the Delightful Decorations stamp set and the embossing folder which i have sponged with Old Olive ink. I have used my favourites Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive in this card but i made a whole heap more in Rose Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla which created a really soft effect.
The Scallop Trim punch finishes off the card nicely.

Christmas Secret Surprise Card

I created this card after the Sydney Regionals where the extremely talented Tenealle Williams showed us how to creat a Secret Surprise card.
It is a great card made with Movers and Shapers that when you open it up a surprise message pops out.
This card uses the new Square Lattice embossing folder along with the Contempo Christmas set stamped in died Shimmer Paint. The outside greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the inside sentiment is from the Occassional Quotes Level 3 hostess stamp set.

Watercolour Crayons Inspred By Nature

This is a card i made a while back at my Watercolour Class. I hadn't shared it with you yet because the Watercolour Wonder crayons were not available but i am pleased to announce that they are now back in the new colours!!!! I can hear your cheers from here :-)

This was one of the favourites of the ladies who came to the watercolour class. It uses the Inspired by Nature stamp set. Very classic.

Sydney Regionals Make and Takes

On the 20th November i spent a lovely day with Narelle and Suzy at the Stampin' Up! Sydney Regionals.
These are the make and takes that we made on the day using the Every Moment Stamp set and watercolouring.
I have taken a second shot of the box because of the glare in the first photo.

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Well it is the first of December and the christmas lights will go on tonight. I am back with a Christmas Card using my favourite Cherry Cobbler f, this time coupled with Wild Wasabi. I really like this card for its simplicity.
When i saw the effect of the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder on my stocking tag, this card popped into my head. It is the flower from the Season of Joy stamp set. I tried a few different layouts for this card but it ended up being the simpler the better.
The Whisper White satin ribbon and the Vintage Brad just finished it off and kept nicely within the theme.
