Inklings Christmas In July Blog Hop

Welcome to The INKlings’ Team’s Christmas in July blog hop. You may have arrived here from Janice Spencer's blog or just be visiting my blog, whichever way once you’ve checked out my creations you can continue the hop through the link at the end of this post to the next team member.

How quick is this year going! Have you started to think about your Christmas cards and projects yet? The INKlings team has and we thought that this month was the perfect time to host a Christmas in July blog hop. You'll find lots of great ideas provided by 16 team members’ fantastic blogs.

My first project is this cute little snowman box. He is just a simple box and i have used some Stampin' Up! punches to decorate his face. His hat is half a top note. We made this little snowman at my Christmas in July this month and he was a real hit.

The second project is a Christmas Brag book. I have used Baroque Motifs and Many Merry Messages with my favourite colour scheme of Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. I will really miss the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper once it goes.
This scrapbook is put together with a chipboard base and on the inside i have used the plastic card sleeves. A great quick gift for christmas. I might perhaps use this for some of the teachers at pre school.

The next project i have for you is a card made using the Movers and Shapers XL die with the Holiday Windows inserts. Movers and Shapers are really great for something quick and simple or something you have to mass produce. This card is an easy card but i really like the elegance that stamping on vellum brings. I have stamped a timeless favourite 'En Francais' on the vellum with Whisper White ink.

And my last project for the day, which are also a favourite and a great quick gift idea, are a bunch of coasters. I have used the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper to cover the coasters, rounded the corners with the corner rounding punch and then simply stamped some images from the Sparkly and Bright set on some layered cardstock.
Then comes the cool bit! Use the multipurpose adhesive to attach the Window sheets and you have got your very durable coasters!

The final project i have is an ornament i made using a sweet treat cup. I punched out lots and lots branches from the bird punch and glued them on to a circle on the back. I got this idea last christmas on the ESAD forum. I think it was Sharlene Torres who created it (sorry i can't find the original reference)

Well that’s all from me. Next stop on the INKlings’ Team Blog Hop is the lovely
Kari Hugues.

Have fun and remember if you would like to win some blog candy (only open to non Stampin' Up! demonstrators) then remember to email Clare at clare@crafty-cow.com once you have finished commenting on each website.

  6. Wow Christie...what a crafting menu. It is so hard to pick a fave...each of them have their own brilliant and clever elements. I cannot imagine the patience needed for the wreath!!! The WW ink on the vellum is devine too. However...Mr Snowman is tugging at the heartstrings just a wee more. Congrats on a magical post.
