Stepped Up Topsy Turvy

I was able to get the Topsy Turvy set from the Summer Mini Catalogue for FREE (one of the perks for being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator) and so i set about making a card with it. I made 3 cards in the same design but stepped each one up a little bit. What do you think?

It's almost Valentine's Day! This is a card i made for my All that Glimmers Occassions Card Class. It was my 10 year Anniversary card to my husband. It is fairly simple and yet the Glimmer Paper gives it a 'wow' factor and it is perfect for Valentines Day or an Engagement or Wedding Card.

Candy Wrapper Big Shot Die Gifts + Fridge Calendars

I really love playing with the Big Shot Candy Wrapper die which is in the Summer Mini Catalogue. I made these gorgeous little boxes with the Spice Cake paper for my Sale-A-Bration launch last month. They had some little chocolates inside for the ladies. The stamped sentiment is from the Pretty Postage stamp set which fits perfectly inside the postage punch (all available in the Summer Mini Catalogue).

I also made some fridge calendars for the ladies using the Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper. the large tag from the Two Tags die is absolutely perfect for these calendars and they make a nice little gift at Christmas time so keep that in mind.

Pink Glimmer Christening Card

I have long searched for ideas for Christening cards and came upon using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch used to make a cross on a card a fellow demonstrator had made. I had also seen in the Stampin' Up! demonstrator newsletter the method of altering the colour of Glimmer Paper and so decided to combine the two for the Christening card of my second cousin. I was really happy with the way it turned out and used this card in my recent All that Glimmers Occassions card class.

This card showcases the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue. It is my favourite paper at the moment and lends itself to very simple cards. I have also used the Very Vanilla velvet ribbon from the Summer Mini Catalogue as well as the Jumbo Buttons which perfectly fit the 1 1/4" circle in it.

Sweet and Pretty Postage Stamp

Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. I just love it! This time i have teamed it up with the Pretty Postage stamp set. I was lucky enough to be able to earn this stamp set for FREE during a demonstrator only promotion that Stampin' Up! ran late last year. I ended up earning 4 stamp sets and 2 packets of brads! Onto the card. I have used the colours in the Spice Cake paper as inspiration for my colour scheme. All of the products used on my card are in the Summer Mini Catalogue including the Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon, the postage stamp punch and the 1" square punch. I have also used matching markers to colour in the stamp.

Valentine's Mints Anyone?

Isn't this Valentine's treat pouch cute? I made it using the Petite Pockets Big Shot die, punching out the heart using the Heart Punch to create a window which i framed with window sheets. I also used the Cherry Cobbler Baker's twine which i have not used enough yet.
The small heart is from the I {Heart} Hearts set.

We don't celebrate Valentine's day in a big way in my house, but it's nice just to give a card and something small and this is perfect.

Rubiks Cube Neverending Card

My sister turned 40 recentley and had an 80's themed birthday. I tried to think of a card to make her and i thought that a Rubiks cube card would work well and then i had one of those 'wow' moments. A Rubiks cube never ending card would be perfect.

If you don't know what a Neverending card is, then have a look on google. A video is much better at explaining them than photos and since i have not yet delved into the world of video's on blogs photo's here will have to suffice.

The card was certainly the hit of the night and was shown to every single person there with amazement.

I have recentley been having a play with the new Summer Mini catalogue products. One of my favourite products is always the embossing folder and our new folder is the Flower Garden Embossing Folder. I have used it very simply with these two cards and you could make a complete set with different designer series paper in the same style, which would make a nice little gift. For the first card i have used the In Colour Series Designer Series Paper stack and in the second i have used the Beyond the Garden DSP from the mini catalogue.

Just over a week ago i realised i needed a fair few more christmas cards and instead of designing a card and doing all the cutting i did it the opposite way around. I cut all of the card stock and then went to work making cards that fit onto the card stock in the colour i chose.

Secret Santa Stocking

This is an addition i made for anotherSecret Santa i was involved in. I made another stocking. This time i used the recipient for inspiration. Rachel loves soft colours and pretty things like seam binding and brads so i made a really 'pretty' stocking. I also spritzed shimmer paint all over it which you can't see in this photo. I filled the stocking with the ingredients for Snowman Soup (Hot Chocolate, Candy Cane, Marshmallows and Chocolates). I also made her some matching fridge magnets.

Cute Christmas Hand bags

I made some of these top note handbags for the kids friends for Christmas. I have made these before using the Faux leather technique. It looks great and is really easy. You just put clear embossing powder on (using versamark) and use your bone folder to make random lines, then emboss!

Two Tags Gift Card Holder

This is a Christmas gift card holder made using the Two Tags Die. I got this idea from fellow Creative Stampers team member Michelle Le Breton. You fold the card stock in half and place it just above the bottom of the die cut blade. You enclose the gift card holder with a decorated belly band. It is the perfect size for a normal credit card sized gift card. I have used the Scallop Circle from the Perfect Pennants die to make a wreath again and the Letters to Santa DSP. I have since made another one of these using another colour scheme and i hope to share that one with too.

This is the gift i made for Stamp Club last month with some magnets in them (which i have yet to photograph). I was lucky enough to recieve this Big Shot Stocking die when someone i knew went overseas. I love it and made these stocking pockets. I wanted to see which embossing folder looked the best but in the end they all looked so good!

Short Petal Cone Box

I made this little take-out style box using the Petal Cone BigZ die. It really is perfect for a wedding favour or bon bonierie OR a Christmas gift.
I cut the bottom off (about 2cm) off the Petal Cone die cut and then scored the bottom to make a box (about 3cm up). I then used the Sassy Sparkles wheel to decorate the box and then the Tags Till Christmas set for the perfect tag

Creative Stampers Secret Santa Gift

I was involved in a Secret Santa Exchange with the Creative Stampers. I recieved an awesome gift and i just loved all of the handmade packaging. I was really blown away.

Firstly there was the bag which was stamped and decorated with the Welcoem Christmas stamp set (on sale for 50% off this month!!!)

Then there was the beautiful classicly simple Welcome Christmas card.

The hand stamped home made wrapping paper finished off with some Cherry Cobbler ribbon and a hand made tag.
Next was some more hand made packaging containing an embossing folder. This packaging was shaped like a present and the lace ribbon border punch was made into a snowflake.
And last but not least was the hand made bauble made with the Letters to Santa DSP containing a ribbon

How spoilt was i? I have a good guess as to who my Secret Santa was but i havent confirmed it yet!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 12 - Candy Cane Fabric Bag

Sorry for the late post but as im sure everyone else is as hectic as i am at the moment.
This is a bag my mum made for me using the candy cane fabric. I love it. It is a perfect shopping tote and is reversible. The fabric is so soft and comfortable.

There are just soooo many good projects out there at Christmas time. There isnt enough time to make them all so the best thing to do is make a Christmas file for next year.
Here are some of the fantastic ideas i have found on the net recentley and i wanted to share them with you.

The first case i have for you is one of Mr Elf's legs - A Christmas Decoration. I just love it. I found it on the website of a US demo called Sandi Maciver.

The second case i have is from the talented Becky Roberts. It is a Snowman Kaleidascope card.

And the third case i have for you i found on the Australian Stampin' Connection site. A forum only for Aussie demo's.
I have gone back to try to see who the creator was but cannot find it so if anyone knows please share it with me so i can give them credit.

Welcome to another ESAD blog hop! It is December 1 so that means it is Summer Mini Catalogue time again and some of the girls in ESAD have put together some fantastic projects to showcase those products.

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

Now onto my projects. Today i have focused on the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper range. The colours in this range are just beautiful and so i have used them to inspire my projects.

My first project is a scrap page using the Spice Cake DSP, i have also used the Silver Glimmer paper which is without a doubt my favourite product in the mini catalogue. I have used it to make a ribbon threader through which i have threaded the elegant Velvet Ribbon through, i have also used it with the Polka Dot Ribbon Punch on the bottom strip and instead of brads in the top left hand corner.

My next project was a fridge magnetic calendar. The whole back of this calendar is a magnet (i just used one of the big one's that come in the mail box). The calendars are great for quick and easy teacher's gifts. Stick a photo on the top and it makes a great family gift too!

My third project is a case of a swap i recieved at convention and is a wooden peg which i have altered into a clip. It has a magnetic back so it can stick to the fridge and clip all of the notes (or bills) too!

My final project is a set of draws with a calendar on top. Handy for the desk. I have also featured the Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Wings embosslits in all of my projects, one of my most used dies for sure!

Daycare 2011 Simple Scrapping

A super simple and easy scrap page. It's my kids joint daycare photo for 2011. Whilst not thrilled with the photo i still had to scrap it. I used Aly ssa's dress as my inspiration and used my Simple Numbers bigshot die again which i absolutely LOVE!

Summer Christmas Stamp Club Challenge

Every 2 months when we meet for Stamp Club, i give the ladies a voluntary challenge to participate in. This month the challenge was Summer Christmas and i was so impressed with their entries.
Alison made a Thong card which is just so gorgeous i wish they made thongs that pretty. Very Aussie and very Summer Christmassy!

Suzanne used a retired Stampin Up! set that i have not seen before and i just loved her attention to detail in the melted snowman with the dazzling diamonds and the blue tinted shimmer paint sprayed up as sea mist.

The third entry was from Sue and she gave us another Aussie card with Santa looking throught the window drinking a beer.

Thanks ladies for participating, i continue to be amazed by you all!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 8 - Top Note Christmas Boxes

Sorry for the late post today, because of the weather i haven't been able to get a good picture of these boxes (so had to make do with this one with the light coming throught the back of the boxes creating shadows).
I love these boxes so much! I made the Rudolph last year and had seen the Santa and Mrs Claus floating around last year but this year i saw the elph curtosey of another demonstrator Kirsty Brown.
I have used a sneak peak in all of the boxes. It is our awesome new Glimmer Paper which will be available in the new mini catalogue (out December 1).
I love these so much and wanted to share them with you so i have squeezed in a class so you can make these yourself.

Milk Carton with a twist

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 - Advent Calendar

I love the project i have to share with you today. I bought this Kaisercraft Advent Calendar a few weeks ago and i thought the Jolly Bingo Designer Series Paper was just perfect for it, especially the centre peice santa page. The catalogue does not do this paper justice as it has a few ready made scrapbook pages just using the DSP that you can't see but i will have some projects to share with you using them before christmas!
I covered all of the little boxes (which i had adhered together using tombow glue) with the DSP, coloured the numbers with a sponge dauber and crystal effects. I have once again used the great Stitched Stockings set and matching punch as well as a new favourite blossom triple punch.
You can't see but i have also decorated the sides of the box and used the Tasteful Trim Big Shot Die.
One product i could not do without in this project was the Distressing Kit. It is the best way to file down the tricky edges of chipboard and the 3 files as well as all the extras are well worth the investment.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 2 - Off the Page Christmas Stocking

Welcome to my 2nd week of the 12 Weeks of Christmas. Christmas Decorations are starting to come out in the shops and i'm starting to get that warm fuzzy feeling inside!
I bought this Kaisercraft Stocking from Spotlight a few weeks back. I broke open the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper and covered it. Decorated with some chipboard and Cherry Cobbler 1/14" Double striped ribbon and a glimmer brad (have i mentioned how much i love these yet!
I thought it was a very fitting project seeing this months Stitched Stockings promotion. Have you seen that stamp set and punch? They are sooooo cute. They are yours to order this month to do all your christmas cards because if you wait till the Summer Mini catalogue is out on December 1 it will be too late!

Pennant Parade Card of the Month

This was one of the cards for my September Card of the Month i did for my newsletter readers. I try to use one stamp set and one accessory and come up with 2 different layouts for a card. 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 1 - Christmas Wreath

Welcome to Week 1 of the 12 weeks of Christmas.
Today i thought i would show you a really cool and effective but yet simple, Christmas Wreath. I saw this on a Halloween post of Becky Roberts and i thought it would make a great wreath.
So what is the wreath? It is one of the Scalloped Circles from the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die. The 1/4" Tafetta Ribbon (Real Red) threads through so easily and with a nice bow tied at the bottom it looks just like a wreath. You can use your 1 3/4" circle punch to punch out a greeting for the middle and Viola!

I have placed my wreath on a door. I saw this type of card last year and when i made the wreath i thought it would be just perfect for this type of card. I have stamped the Woodgrain background on Crumb Cake card stock and cut two 1 1/4" squares and then a rectangle of the same width. I have placed these up on dimensionals on an Chocolate Chip background which has also been stamped with my new favourite background stamp Wonderfully Worn. Do you like?

First Play with Build a Blossom

Well it looks like i missed a post this week on wednesday. Sorry about that, my mind is consumed with study at the moment and much to my disgust Stampin' has taken a back seat. Well it will all be done with soon enough and i can safely say i NEVER want to study again!
A couple of weeks ago i got to play with one of my new stamp sets Build a Blossom. It is lots of fun and there are so many possibilities, i can't wait to pull it out again.

Birthday Banner

My gorgeous boy was 5 last month and i recieved my pre order just before his birthday. He wanted to make a banner for his birthday so he helped me make this and we put it up at his party. We chose Red, Black and White because they are the colour of his soccer team and he had a bit of a soccer theme for his party.

I used the perfect pennants die and it was really easy and most important my little boy was happy! This photo is from when i put it up to display at my launch.

Classic Lovely As A Tree Male Card

Today's creation is actually not my own. This is the card my downline Suzy gave my hubby for his birthday. Isn't it beautiful, i really love it and i just would not have thought of putting these two colours together but they work so well. I love the sponging on the torn card too, just gives it something extra.

The title of this post rings true. There are so many possibilities with doilies. From very femine pretty cards, to vintage cards to christmas cards there is so many... I have really been enjoying this set. And did you notice the new In Colour? How sweet is Wisteria Wonder. I'm sure all of the purple lovers will be happy!
And where did those little flowers come from? Simple they are cut from the lace ribbon border punch, just another way to use it.

I know father's day has passed but this is still a great male card you could use for any occassion. I am really happy that Grunge Rock made it's way into the main catalogue because guitars are a favourite with the men in my life.

The first project is a page using the Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper. I just love this tree silhouette. I had some prefessional photos taken of my kids and had this really cute candid shot in black and white. I have used the Big Shot Timeless Type Alphabet Sizzlet Dies for the lettering and the Scallop Trim border punch for the frame of the photo.

Next up i have a card. We made this card at my New Idea's Book and Catalogue Launch party, however we used Sahara Sand instead of Marina Mist. It was most people's favourite card on the night. It is a really simple card, just a bit of embossing.Next up i have a Top Note purse for you using the Forever Young stamp set embossed on black and the Timeless Portrait DSP

Lastly we have a matching bookmark. This is the same layout Shelli Gardner used for a bookmark at convention so she was my inspriation for this.

For completeness i covered the back of the bookmark with some DSP.

This is a swap i made recentley. I have used the Forever Young stamp set and i have made the face of the clock look like glass using Crystal Effects. My favourite part of this card is the Square Lattice Embossed Background, which i have rubbed Early Espresso Ink on to. I have also spritzed some Gold Glow Smooch Spritz on the card for a vintage look

Creative Elements 6x6 Conversion

We did a 6" x 6" scrap page at Convention and i came home and made it into a 12"x12". It is really easy to do. We used the Creative Elements stamp set which has some really gorgeous stamps in it and made the 6"x6" page shown (the crumb cake square). I then used 12"x12" Early Espresso card stock stamped with a flourish and a Scallop Circle with some Pearls and Viola! Lots of sneak peaks in this page, see below for details.

Love Letter DSP Note Book

Cupcake Box and a Sneak Peak

This was another one of Bonnie Thurber's fab creations at convention. The box itself is just a simple 4 x scallop envelope box but inside it was a really cool (and easy) cupcake holder.
Now i know that i should have put a cupcake in it, but in all honesty i didnt have time. So anyway here it is. The insert is made using the Flower Fancy punch. You punch it once and then you twist it a quarter of a turn and punch it again to create the flower shape that will hold their cupcake.
Also there is a sneak peak here! It is the really cool Button Buddies stamp set that we got at convention. It will be available on September 1st in the new catalogue and i will be featuring it in some make and takes at my New Ideas Book and Catalogue launch on Friday 2nd September.

Wish Big Glitter

At convention we saw a presentation by Pam Jorgenson using Multipurpose Adhesive and Glitter. I loved it and had to come home and try it. This card was a while in the making though because i made the glitter piece and wanted to use it on a scrapbook, but the square shape of it just didnt work. So it ended up on a card.
I used the word play stamp set for the first time. It is a set i can see me getting alot of use out of because it has some great sayings. Especially for scrapbooking!

Cracked Glass Butterfly

This was my first attempt at the Cracked Glass technique. I made it a couple of months back for a workshop i did on embossing techniques. I used Watercolour Crayons to stamp the Just Believe stamp which i then cut out with a BigZ butterfly and embossed into stained glass.

Well it seems i missed a post yesterday!
I think i didn't pre post one because i thought i would post the birthday card i made for Tyson but then i ran out of time!!!
Anyway he had a fantastic day and is a very tired little thing at pre school today because he stayed up till 9:30 playing with toys in his room cause he didnt want the day to end.
Myself, my darling husband (whose birthday is tomorrow!) and the kids had a great day.
Anyway now on to the card.
